Yu Yureka Plus launched at Rs 9,999 in India; features 5.5-inch display, Cyanogen OS 12

Micromax’s online arm, YU Televentures has announced a new variant of the Yu Yureka, called the Yu Yureka Plus. This is the third phone from the YU brand. The Yureka Plus will be priced at Rs 9,999 and is expected to go on sale on Amazon from Friday, 24 July from 12pm onwards. The registrations for the Friday flash sale have already started from today.

The Yu Yureka Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, as opposed to the 5.5-inch HD display that was seen on the Yu Yureka. The Yureka Plus will feature the latest Cyanogen 12 OS based on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Just like the original, this phone also comes with dual-SIM configuration with support for 4G SIM cards.

The device houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Adreno 405 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM.

You will get 16GB onboard storage space along with an option to expand it to 32GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, you get a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Yu Yureka Plus will be powered by a 2,500 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, you will get Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and more. It will come in two variants: Alabaster white and Moodust gray.
