Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. has thanked police for arresting his son Indio Falconer Downey, on suspicion of cocaine possession.
Thanking the authorities the actor said that the family was determined to get him the help he needs.
"Unfortunately, there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it," said Robert Downey, Jr. "We're grateful to the Sheriff's Department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success," he added. His son, Indio Falconer Downey was taken into custody on Sunday after a car he was travelling in was pulled over in West Hollywood on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, believed to be cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 20-year-old was released on bail. A court date was set for August 29. Robert Downey Jr. himself has had a series of high-profile drug-related arrests in the late 1990s. /1/369476.html
