About Remix OS:

Remix OS is a custom version of Android designed to make Google’s mobile operating system feel like a desktop OS. This is the custom OS that is named as "Remix OS" which we can install on our PC's & Laptop's. This Remix OS is fully based on the Android platform and is running on the Android Version 5.1.1 (Lollipop Android version). Some of the things that we put on our mind is that, this "Remix OS" has some unwanted things.

• Remix OS for PC is in its early stages, and the latest released is the alpha stage and the latest version is released on Feb 2nd 2016.
• It lacks one of Android’s key features: the Google Play Store.

But the downloadable Google Play Store is available for the Remix OS, so i think we need not to worry about the Google Play Store.

• This Remix OS is bootable on the USB Stick, That means you can literally bring your Remix experience wherever you go. With most computers in the world powered by x86 chipsets
• Its the Open source OS, it means that it is available to download for free, and introducing the cost free OS.

How To Install Remix OS On Your Windows Running System

Lets Get Started ...

What We Need To Install The Remix OS

1. A working Internet connection.
2. Download page
3. A USB 3.0 flash drive that supports FAT32 format.
4. USB 3.0 flash drive of minimum 8GB
5. Writing speed upto 20MB/s.
6. A CPU with 64-bit compatibility.

Instruction To Flash The Remix OS.

1. Download the Remix OS.
2. After downloading this Remix OS, unzip the package and you will get these files.
3.  Plug in the USB Flash Drive as per the requirement and open the 3rd file named as (remixos-usb-tool-B2016011401), and you will get the following option.
4. Select the Browse, and select the iso file of Remix OS that we get after unzip the file that we downloaded, and then select the USB flash drive on which you want to write the Remix OS.
5. After this clicked on OK and the procedure will get started and write the file info in your USB flash drive.
6. After the installation get completed, reboot your PC.
7. Press f12 to go to boot menu
8. Select "USB Storage Device"
9. Select "Guest Mode" or "Resident Mode" to start Remix OS.
10. Recommended to select the "Resident Mode".
11. And wait till it Booted up.

Now Lets Get Started With Download & Installation

Of Google Services On Remix Os.

 First thing that u have to put in your mind is that you have to start the Remix OS in the Resident mode to avoid the data loss after you again start the Remix OS. In Resident Mode all the work that you have done get saved and you don't need to do the same work again. But in Guest Mode your all the data will gone if you start the Remix OS in thus mode.

Now Start With The Download And Installation Of Google services:

1. Download the GMSInstaller.apk from the xda-developers forum (or use a link from another source).
2.  Click the downloaded file to install it.
3. Run the GMSInstaller app.
4.  Select “One-click to install Google Services.”
5. After the Google services are downloaded and installed, open the Remix OS Settings app and go to Applications, find the “Manager Applications” option, and then choose “All.”
6.  Scroll down until you see Google Play Services, select it, and click the “Manage space” link, and click the “Clear All Data” option on the next screen.
7. Find Google Google Services Framework the same way, and this time just click the “Clear Data” button.
8. Reboot Remix OS.

Xposed Installer for Lollipop ROMs

Xposed For Lollipop ROMs ( 5.1.1 ) 

About Xposed :-

Xposed is a framework for modules that can change the behavior of the system and apps without touching any APKs. That's great because it means that modules can work for different versions and even ROMs without any changes (as long as the original code was not changed too much). It's also easy to undo. As all changes are done in the memory, you just need to deactivate the module and reboot to get your original system back. There are many other advantages, but here is just one more: Multiple modules can do changes to the same part of the system or app. With modified APKs, you to decide for one. No way to combine them, unless the author builds multiple APKs with different combinations.  

Installing Xposed In Lollipop ROMs:-

1. Download the Xposed Framework and Xposed apk.
2. After downloading it, install the apk file of xposed
3. Then put the Xposed Installer zip file to your sd card root folder.
4. Reboot your device in recovery.
5. Flash Xposed_framework.zip using recovery
6. Clean and wipe dalvik cache.
7. Reboot and enjoy.

Android N-ify

 This module allows you to use several features introduced in Android N on you Lollipop and Marshmallow device.

Currently supported features are:

• Settings dashboard subtitles
• Double-tap recents to switch to last app

This module is currently rather experimental and has to be tested on a wider variety of devices. Feel free to install this module and submit feedback in the support thread. Also have a look there to see what will be supported in the next versions and what's impossible to implement.

How To Increase the RAM Size of Your Android Phone

 

Required Things:-

1. A rooted Device
2. And Two Apks (Download links are below)

How To Increase RAM:-

1. Firstly root your device.
2. Then download "Kernel Adiutor" & "DiskInfo"
3. Open Kernel Adiutor. 
4. Swipe it from left.
5. In the Kernel Section you will see the Virtual Memory.
6. click on Virtual Memory, and Click on "Apply on Boot".
7. Then go down & increase the Z-RAM to full*.
8. Come out from the Kernel Adiutor.
9. And Reboot your device.

How to Check The Increased RAM:-

1. Download "DiskInfo"  (Pro version download link will be at last)
2. Open DiskInfo.
3. Goto last, Check the memory Section
4. You will see the Swap sub section in that which shows the Virtual Memory.

Increase the Z-RAM to full.It will automatically adjust the virtual memory according to device ram 1gb ram - virtual memory can be increased to 510MB.

Workaround for VPN follow these steps:(Not tested)1. go to psiphon and choose browser-only mode don’t tunnel whole device2. go to its logs tab and check the port of http proxy.3. now open wifi setting and long press to your wifi network(from which u are connected)4. chosen manual proxy option and put host name as 127.0.0.1 and port as the no. which you noted in step2(eg. 8080) and click save.
you can open your browser and check your ip

Note:

you have to undo this after you don’t need VPN by changing manual proxy to none.

Step 1 : Extract latest cm of your device.


Delete addon.h ,Apps,fonts,framework,media,priv-apps,build.prop 


Step 2 : Paste the above mentioned folders from sprout to cm 


Step 3 : Merge extra bins and libs from sprout 


Step 4 : Paste extra permissions in cm (etc/permissions) 


Step 5 : Copy libandroidserver.so , libandroidruntime.so , libandroidfw.so , 

libmedia_jni.so and       replace in cm lib 


Step 6 : Merge extra files in vendor folder from sprout 


Step 7 : Merge app_process32 ,applypatch ,bootanimation ,dalvikvm32 ,drmserver 

,mdnsd,mediaserver ,serfaceflinger from sprout to cm (These are bins) 


Step 8 : Take storage list ,vold ,sdcard ,boot.img of latest cm
