Update: Samsung has sent invites to some media persons for an event taking place today in Delhi. Though the company hasn’t specified any device, it does hint at the On5 and On 7 by mentioning the event will witness “the latest addition to its smartphone portfolio”.
Looks like, Samsung is all set to bring two new devices to India. First spotted by Phoneradar, the official India website now shows the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy On5 comes with a 5-inch HD TFT display, and under the hood it’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The device includes 1.5GB RAM. The 8GB onboard storage is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. On the official page, the Samsung Galaxy On5 is described to feature a “sleek design” and a camera that promises “superb selfies”. A metal frame and leather-type back cover are also mentioned on the site.
It’s a dual SIM device with support for 4G, an 8MP and 5MP rear and front cameras, respectively. In terms of connectivity, it supports 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and GLONASS. The handset comes dipped in Black and Gold colours, and a 2600 mAh battery fuels the device.
In terms of specs, not much is known about the Galaxy On7. However, it reportedly gets a 5.5-inch display, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3000mAh battery.
The company hasn’t disclosed the pricing or availability details of both devices.
